Mark Haddad founded Lumen Law Group to offer sophisticated, senior-led counsel with the direct involvement clients value but often cannot access at larger firms. With over 25 years of experience, he has held senior roles at Sullivan & Cromwell and Goldman Sachs, was a partner and practice chair at Jones Day, and served as Managing Director & General Counsel of a global investment firm.

He personally leads each engagement, drawing on a selective network of former Big Law and financial professionals when matters require additional expertise. His approach is pragmatic, steady, and shaped by decades advising on complex transactions, cross-border strategy, and governance.

Mark began his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell, advising on corporate and securities law, financial products, and significant transactions. At Jones Day, he was a partner who chaired the Global Project Finance Practice and headed the Asia Banking Practice, serving clients from both New York and China. His work there focused on banking and finance matters, including large-scale development financings and structured transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

As General Counsel to a multi-strategy investment manager with offices in New York, London, and Hong Kong, he oversaw legal and regulatory matters with a focus on governance, investor relations, and compliance. His financial grounding—developed at Goldman Sachs and PwC—enables him to align legal structure with business strategy in ways clients find clear and actionable.
